THE DIFFERENCE GRACE MAKES
WITHOUT GRACE VS THE GRACE WAY
This is your Grace Way cheat sheet. It’s a simple guide to help you understand key biblical concepts that are often misunderstood. Under the New Covenant, grace changes how we see everything.

-
GOD'S PRESENCE:
WITHOUT GRACE: God's presence is reserved for the pure and perfect.
THE GRACE WAY: Because of Jesus, we have access 24/7.

-
HOLINESS:
WITHOUT GRACE: Holiness is something you must achieve.
THE GRACE WAY: Holiness is something Jesus has already given us, and now we live from it, not toward it.

-
OBEDIENCE:
WITHOUT GRACE: Obedience is about proving your devotion.
THE GRACE WAY: Obedience is a response to love, not a requirement for it.

-
REPENTANCE:
WITHOUT GRACE: Repentance is a transaction. I must turn away from sin, and then God will… (Fill in the blank).
THE GRACE WAY: Repentance is turning to God because of His goodness.

-
FEAR OF GOD:
WITHOUT GRACE: Fear means knowing God is good, but I must still be concerned that He can punish me.
THE GRACE WAY: Fear is standing in awe of God's holiness, majesty, and goodness.

-
CONFESSING YOUR SINS:
WITHOUT GRACE: Confessing is something I practice for every sin I recall to be forgiven.
THE GRACE WAY: We confess not to be forgiven, but because we are already forgiven, and confession helps us walk in that truth.

-
JUDGMENT
WITHOUT GRACE: Judgment means God is typically angry and waiting at any given moment for us to fail to punish me.
THE GRACE WAY: Jesus took on Judgment upon himself and because of that, now I live free from condemnation.

-
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
WITHOUT GRACE: Growth is based on how much can I do. Growth relies on my Discipline.
THE GRACE WAY: Growth happens by trusting Jesus and letting the Holy Spirit shape me from the inside out. In doing so grace habits are produced.

-
FORGIVENESS
WITHOUT GRACE: I have to ask for forgiveness in order to be forgiven.
THE GRACE WAY: Forgiveness is already mine in Christ, now I live from that freedom.

-
GOOD WORKS
WITHOUT GRACE: Good works are what I do to ear God's acceptance and prove my worth.
THE GRACE WAY: Good works flow from knowing I'm already loved, It's what grace produces in my life.

CREAT A SPACE FOR THE
SPIRIT OF GRACE TO SPEAK
Now that you know the Spirit is our guide, you can slow things down. This means listening with your heart, not just your head. The next time you read God’s Word, remember that the Spirit of Grace is within you, leading you. Here are some ways you can allow the Spirit of Grace to guide you in your reading. I call it R.E.S.T.
R - REQUEST HIS HELP:
Before you open your Bible, pause and pray. Ask, "Holy Spirit, help me see Jesus."

E - ENGAGE WITH YOUR HEART:
Don’t just gather facts; pay attention to what’s happening inside you. You can even journal: “What truth is sinking in? What lie needs to be replaced?”

S - SLOW DOWN:
You don’t need to rush. One verse in Grace is more powerful than an entire chapter read under pressure or guilt.

T - TRUST THE PROCESS:
Remember, the Spirit does the heavy lifting. Be confident that even when you close the book, He’s still working in you.
